Certifications
Confirm authenticity reliably.
We certify signatures and copies and draw up notarial documents. Please contact us in advance so that we can clarify which documents you need.
- Certification of personal signatures and signatures on behalf of companies
- Certified copies and English translations
- Notarial documents and deeds, also in English
Preparing for certification: what should I bring?
- An official photo ID showing your current personal details and signature
- The document on which your signature is to be certified
- Supporting evidence if your personal details differ, such as a marriage certificate or proof of a name change
For documents issued by banks, authorities or other organisations, check the spelling of your name and your date of birth in advance. Ask the issuer to correct any errors and bring the corrected version.
At the Donauzentrum, certifications are available during opening hours without an appointment. We recommend booking an appointment beforehand. If anti-money laundering checks are required, additional information or documents may be needed. If so, immediate certification may not be possible.
If you wish to wait for your documents, please arrive around 30–40 minutes before closing; this includes midday. An appointment is required at the IZD-Tower.
Travel authorisation for minors
If you need a signature on a travel authorisation form certified, you can complete the appropriate form beforehand and bring it to your appointment with your ID.
Documents for use abroad
Please tell us in advance in which country you intend to use the document. Depending on the destination, an apostille or further legalisation may be required. We will clarify which steps are needed for your document.
Our notary also provides certified English translations and notarial documents in English.
